About The Conference
7th World Halal Summit (WHS), under the theme of “New Era & New Normals: Necessity of Halal Production and Consumption” will be held on 25-27 November 2021, in Istanbul Congress Center (ICC), Istanbul/Turkey; simultaneously with 8th OIC Halal Expo (25-28 November 2021) that is organized by Discover Events on behalf of the Islamic Centre for Development of Trade (ICDT) and the Standards and Metrology Institute for Islamic Countries (SMIIC) in line with the cooperation framework agreement between two institutions.
The Summit offers a rich programme of inspiring keynote addresses, interactive panel sessions featuring halal sector pioneers and other stakeholders to debate challenges and opportunities about the halal sector as well as scientific presentations and seminars. This broad range of discussion formats within this international platform will provide plenty of opportunities to exchange ideas for halal professionals.
WHS 2021 is planned to take the form of conferences, seminars, panel discussions as well as interactive experiences with the Q&A sessions for 3 days starting with the first day for registration and opening ceremony and starts with the first two sessions after the welcoming by the keynote speakers’ speeches.
Three days of program will include variety topics related to halal, where speakers will provide strategic views of halal research, sharing outputs of their experiments and the latest innovations in the global halal industry, as well as start-up events and 4-days OIC Halal-Expo will be simultaneously organized in the same venue.
In the previous edition, regardless of all the unfavourable conditions in the time of pandemic, 6th World Halal Summit was organized in a hybrid format and hosted 61 speakers from 15 different countries and the sessions were followed by 9217 people from 55 different countries both physically and virtually via social media accounts.
